How business water works
Since April 2017, most businesses in England can choose their water retailer. Your regional water company still owns the pipes and supplies the water. What changes is the retailer who bills you, reads your meter and looks after your account.
Businesses in Scotland have been able to switch since 2008. In Wales, switching is limited to very large users.
