Information we collect

This website does not have forms or user accounts. We collect personal information when you choose to contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, or when we work with you. This may include:

  • your name, job title and contact details (phone number, email address)
  • your business name, address and site details
  • information on your bills, statements and contracts, such as supply numbers, meter details, usage, prices, card turnover or existing insurance details
  • records of our calls, emails and messages with you, including call recordings where we tell you a call is recorded
  • letters of authority you sign so that we can deal with your suppliers

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use your information and our lawful bases

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide our services, including getting quotes and arranging contracts or introductions. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing our contract with you.
  • To deal with suppliers and providers on your behalf. Lawful basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in providing our service.
  • To keep records, handle complaints and check quality, including reviewing sales calls. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and compliance with legal obligations.
  • To contact you about renewals of contracts we have helped with. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations, such as keeping business and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where needed for the purposes above, with:

  • energy suppliers, water retailers and payment providers, to obtain quotes and arrange contracts you ask for
  • FCA-authorised insurance brokers and insurers, when you ask us to introduce you
  • service providers who support our business, such as IT, telephony, email and website hosting (our website is hosted by Cloudflare)
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us that way
  • professional advisers, ombudsman services, regulators or law enforcement where required

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 2 years if you do not become a customer. For customers, we keep records for the length of any contract we help with plus 6 years, so that we can deal with queries, complaints and legal claims. Call recordings are kept for the same period unless a shorter period applies.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information, including for direct marketing
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation, where applicable
